FOUNDER AND DIRECTOR

This is Janelle, the founder of Meraki Skin Studio; She is a dedicated skin enthusiast and has been in the industry since 2000. 

Janelle is a paramedical-qualified dermal therapist with a diploma in beauty therapy. To date attaining many certificates; numerous master classes & training with industry leaders. Her studies extended and graduated as an integrative health & dermatology certificate. Janelle’s curious mind led her to dive deeper into the field of skin with the Australian Academy of Corneo Therapy, DMK, Natural Methods of Pharmacology & Skin Education International level one Foundation & level two Advanced Certificate.

After completing her Diploma in 2000 she settled into an an elite salon in Sydney; forever grateful for her experience it was time to drift back to Western Australia & open her first salon.

As time evolved loved drifted into her life & led her deeper South to Margaret River; She continued to work in the new space she had created.

After 3 little people & 2 dog’s it’s where she took pivot in the direction of specialising in all things skin. This is where Meraki was born.

This intermate exclusive space was created in 2019 and was built with a whole lotta love.

Janelle’s mission was to create a space to empower ALL to love the skin their in. Yes, this is a result-orientated studio, with the point of difference to go beyond the skin’s surface & treat the Meraki tribe with 360 degrees approach. Janelle’s philosophy in the studio is to deliver the best possible results, educate her tribe along the way & leave you feeling amazing, she wanted to create an experience.

Janelle believes each skin story is unique & should be treated with integrity. Blessed daily doing what she loves most.

KATE GOURLAY

SKIN SPECIALIST

Meet Kate! Janelle’s wingwoman at Meraki Studio. Kate is the manager & leading dermal therapist since 2020.

Kate travelled for several years & worked overseas; eventually settling back into Western Australia with her Canadian husband & 3 amazing children.

Based in her passion for health & wellbeing she brings love & balance into all her treatments, a true zen master dedicated to her clients.

Talk about a pro! Completing her Diploma of Beauty Therapy she extended her studies of training as a qualified Paramedical Dermal Therapist in DMK’s methods of Natural Pharmacology. Completing several skin education International certificates including Level 1 Foundation of Skin Needling. Kate entwines a healing touch with her certificates extrenfing into therapeutic massge, reiki 1 & 11 of bach flower essence.

Kate is a true healer of mind/body/spirit. Kate’s philosophy in studio is to reach her clients skin goals & continue to expand in the field of skin to educate & empower her clients; along with leaving them calm, centered & zen.

JANSIE SONTER

MASSAGE THERAPIST

Say hello to our newest favourite body wellness practitioner, Jansie. After owning her own successful business ‘ A Touch of Dreamtime’ we feel honoured she has joined the Meraki team to compliment our holistic approach to wellness.

Originally from Queensland this proud Ghungalu woman, wife & mother of 2 Wardani Noongars has been in the Health & Wellness industry since 2002.

Jansie draws on her heritage, ongoing education, travels & experience to deliver treatments like no other.

Completing a Diploma of Excersie Science & Fitness Management leading into a Diploma of Remedial Massge & Fascial kinetics, Bowen Therapy & now a qualified Theraputic Embodiment Facilitator where her extensive knowledge about Somatic Physcology can support developmental trauma, nervous system dysregulation & support in management & regulating the whole body.

A passionate, driven, highly educated wellness body practisioner. We could never label treatments as Jansie entwines all techniques to customise the perfect on day experience.
